I recall telling myself about a month ago that I would have this web site completely set up, with the first post written, by April 1st.

I am apparently very good at deluding myself.

Nevertheless, after no small amount of head-scratching over Wordpress’s unfamiliar ways of doing things, we’ve finally arrived at that most essential component of blog-oriented web sites, the first post. Only three weeks late! It’s a good thing nobody’s paying me to write… I would have been fired years ago.

In addition to this post, I’ve also written a few words about a smattering of personal projects that may be of interest to the general public. This section will slowly (very slowly) expand as I complete existing projects and start new ones. The blogging front will hopefully be more active, assuming I can sit still for long enough to communicate the interesting thoughts I occasionally have. Of course, only time will tell whether anyone else finds them interesting, but the nice thing about blogging is that I don’t have to care about that.

Grantovich.net is powered by Wordpress, running on an old Debian machine I keep on a shelf in my dorm room. It’s called Freya. Be nice to it.
